AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 29, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — ABBYY today announced the appointment of Paula Sanders to Chief Customer Experience Officer (CCXO) to provide customers a consistent, connected experience across every stage of their ABBYY experience, from initial engagement through long-term adoption and value realization. With 14-years of experience leading the company’s Pre- and Post-Sales and Professional Services organizations, Sanders leads a newly unified Customer Experience organization spanning Customer Excellence, Pre-Sales, Technical Success, and Professional Services under a single leadership structure.
Under Sanders’ leadership, ABBYY is giving customers a single point of accountability and eliminating the handoffs that slow adoption.
“Our customers have come to trust and rely on Paula’s teams at every stage of their ABBYY journey,” said Ulf Persson, CEO of ABBYY. “She brings a deep understanding of the customer lifecycle, strong relationships across the business, and the leadership capability to make this work. As we continue to innovate and create new solutions that accelerate and improve how organizations use their documents for enterprise intelligence, Paula and her organization will ensure our customers are always positioned to realize the full benefit.”
Sanders joined ABBYY in 2011 as Professional Services Lead Consultant, expanded her remit to lead sales engineering globally, and most recently oversaw the company’s broader pre- and post-sales and Professional Services organization. That career arc, from first customer conversation, through technical engagement, through implementation and ongoing success, mirrors the complete customer journey she now leads. Before ABBYY, she spent more than 20 years in senior roles across the document imaging, data capture, and enterprise content management industries.
“My goal is to ensure that every customer experiences the full power of ABBYY AI from day one, and that we give them the partnership, consistency, and confidence to achieve maximum value from their investment,” shared Sanders. “I plan to empower ABBYY’s broader ambition to build a customer success model that scales with your business, so customers who trust ABBYY to transform how they work will experience greater results than they ever thought possible.”
Gartner recently recognized ABBYY as Leader in the 2026 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Intelligent Document Processing (IDP). We believe this recognition reflects ABBYY’s continued investment in purpose-built Document AI, and a customer service organization that empowers enterprises to use these solutions to their full potential. As the organization continues to take shape, Sanders will work directly with team leaders to optimize how the new structure operates in practice.
