Kalshi, the next-generation financial exchange, today announced a partnership with the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC), America’s largest small business advocacy group, representing 260 local chambers and hundreds of business associations and corporations nationwide, and the Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, to bring accessible risk management tools and education to Hispanic-owned businesses across the country.

Hispanic-owned businesses are the fastest-growing segment of American entrepreneurship, expanding at roughly three times the national average. There are now more than five million Hispanic Business Enterprises (HBEs) in the U.S., contributing over $800 billion to the economy each year. Yet most owners in this high-growth segment lack access to the risk-management tools long available to larger corporations, leaving them exposed to inflation, interest rate shifts, supply chain disruption and other macroeconomic shocks that can hit a small business’s bottom line hardest.

Prediction markets provide an accessible, democratizing tool to mitigate that risk. Small businesses have been largely excluded from the options, futures, and swaps that large corporations use to hedge. Kalshi allows them to hedge risk on real-world events that might impact their businesses. For instance, local ice cream shops are using Kalshi to hedge against rain, which lower sales in summer.

The partnership pairs USHCC’s reach — a national network representing over five million HBEs through more than 260 local chambers and business associations — with Kalshi’s regulated markets and educational programming. Through the collaboration, USHCC will connect its members with technical assistance and financial education focused on navigating economic uncertainty, while Kalshi will provide the tools to act on it.

“We’re excited to welcome Kalshi to our membership, and to partner with a company that’s redefining innovation in financial markets. This collaboration reflects USHCC’s commitment to fostering a dynamic business environment where forward-thinking companies can grow, connect, and help shape the future of America’s economy.”

— Ramiro A. Cavazos, President and CEO, United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce

“At the Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, we believe small businesses thrive when they have access to the right tools, resources, and partnerships. Our collaboration with new GWHCC Member Kalshi reflects our shared commitment to empowering entrepreneurs across the DC, Maryland, and Virginia region through practical education and innovative solutions. We look forward to helping our business community better understand risk management through this upcoming webinar.”

— Nicole Quiroga, President & CEO, Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce

The educational programming will be delivered across USHCC’s and GWHCC’s full network of local chambers and business associations, extending its reach from Main Street retailers to regional manufacturing hubs. The goal is to give localized business owners actionable, real-world strategies for protecting their operations against the external shocks they cannot control.

“Hispanic-owned businesses are the engine of the American economy. They’re leaning in to adopt new financial innovations, and we couldn’t be prouder to partner with USHCC to continue their business success.”

—Luana Lopes Lara, co-founder and COO, Kalshi

The collaboration will roll out through joint workshops and webinars hosted with local chambers, educational content distributed through USHCC’s network, and direct technical assistance for HBEs looking to apply Kalshi’s contracts to risks specific to their business. Details on regional programming will be announced by USHCC and Kalshi in the coming months.
