MARly establishes Strategic Advisory Board to guide the next phase of its Caregiver OS™ platform
PITTSBURGH, Sept. 15, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — MARly Health, the creator of MARly, the Healthspan Companion powered by Caregiver OS™, today announced the formation of its Strategic Advisory Board, bringing together leaders across serious illness care, healthcare operations, clinical research, technology, and artificial intelligence.
The Board will advise MARly as the company enters its next stage of growth and continues building solutions to address a fundamental challenge in healthcare: what happens during provider visits or in a clinical setting often is less relevant to the patient’s overall well-being than what occurs day-to-day at home.
MARly is designed to help individuals and the people caring for them organize the realities of health and caregiving, understand what is changing over time, coordinate the activities of the people involved, and make important information more useful and accessible when healthcare professionals become involved.
“We wanted an advisory board made up of people who have spent their careers confronting the realities of serious illness, caring for people at home, leading healthcare organizations, and determining how technology can actually make hands-on care better,” said Drew Mihalyo, Founder of MARly. “Their job is to challenge us and help make sure what we build matters in the real world.
“We wanted an advisory board made up of fierce advocates and not a group who would simply applaud MARly as a good idea,” Mihalyo added.
MARly Strategic Advisory Board
The Advisory Board of MARly includes:
Cory Chevalier, MD, FACP, FAAHPM—Physician executive and leader in hospice and palliative medicine.
Jennifer Tjia, MD, MSCE, FAAHPM—Physician, researcher, and academic leader focused on geriatric and palliative care, medication optimization, and care for medically complex populations.
Juan-Carlos Monguilod, MD, HMDC, FACP, FAAHPM—Physician leader with decades of experience in hospice medicine, interdisciplinary care, and clinical operations.
Bethany Cox Snider, MD, HMDC, FACP, FAAHPM—Hospice and palliative medicine physician and healthcare executive with extensive experience in serious illness care and clinical leadership.
Vivek Dhayagude—Technology strategist and executive with experience across enterprise technology, digital transformation, and emerging technologies.
Ernesto Lopez, BSN, MBA, RN, FACHE—Founder and CEO of 1520ai and a healthcare executive whose experience spans hospice, home health, operations, and artificial intelligence.
Drew Mihalyo, PharmD—Pharmacist who built a leading pharmacy benefits and technology services company and Founder of MARly and Chair of the Strategic Advisory Board.
The Strategic Advisory Board will guide MARly in clinical relevance, caregiver experience, serious illness care delivery, healthcare integration, responsible AI, privacy, connected health technology, and clinical governance.
Introduced in March 2026, MARly was founded on the principle that caregiving requires more than another checklist or collection of disconnected tools targeting the seriously ill. Its early-access phase has continued to shape Caregiver OS™, a connected layer around the individual and the family members, caregivers, and professionals supporting them.
MARly combines conversational AI with medications, symptoms, tasks, appointments, caregiver coordination, health information, connected-device data, and longitudinal memory. The goal is not simply to collect more information, but to create continuity: one MARly, one memory, and one Caregiver OS™ that can help connect what happens at home with the moments when the healthcare system becomes involved.
MARly is also being designed to bring together information from connected health technologies and, with individual authorization, healthcare records, so that data can be understood alongside medications, conditions, symptoms, routines, and caregiving activity.
“The healthcare system often sees episodes. Families live the entire story,” Mihalyo said. “MARly is being built to help connect those pieces, understand what is changing and help the right thing happen next.”
MARly’s long-term vision is built around a simple principle:
Know the whole person. Understand what is changing. Coordinate the people around them. Help the right thing happen next.
